How to remove airflow potentiometer?
Hi guys,
Has anybody ever tried this? How do you replace the potentiometer without replacing the whole air flow meter? Thanks. |
Can be done on some cars. Do a search - there's several good threads. The potentiometer is available from www.europartsdirect.com - about $50.

Yup, I saw the part. But how do you take it off the air flow meter?

There are two semi-circular plastic covers over the sscrews, and you need to pop these off. Before removing the screws, carefully scribe an alignment mark to ensure you get the pot back on in exactly the same orientation. Screws removed, it just pulls straight off the wiper shaft.

The whole time I thought they were part of the cover design. Thanks for the tip and beautiful article.
