Distributor Insulator removal

Due to the fact that my daughter was changing songs on the cd player and rear ended a parked Dodge pickup in our 1987 300E, I will become very intimate with this vehicle.

The right fender, right inner fender, hood, and radiator supprt are trashed. Radiator pushed back into fan blades (breaking 2 blades) and broke every conceiveable piece of the Distributor housing and what lays underneath.

This question pertains to the removal of the distributor insulator (round plastic piece behind the rotor.) I see where the allen screw is for the attaching point and have tried to remove but do not want to apply too much pressure and break something. Is there some special way of removing or do I just need to use a little more persuasion?

Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW, my daughter is fine.

On my 103 it is a torx not an allen screw. It can take some force to loosen it, so use a hardened torx 1/2”socket, not a normal bit. . (If it is an allen screw, use a allen socket)
