brake hose ?

I've perused past post but have some questions concerning brake hoses (rubber lines).

1) are rubber brake hoses a specific Mercedes part fitted to each application?
2) these rubber brake hoses have the proper connection on each end?
3) flare wrenches must be used to disconnect brake hoses? how are flare wrenches different than normal wrenches?
4) any tips on disconnecting brake hose from the caliper or any other junction

Brake Hoses

Use the O.E. brake hoses (hoses can develop a self collapsing internal mode
after LONG use...brake calipers will not release) mostly the problem will be
at the connection between the hose and the nut (a crimp) LEAKS... BAD!

"flare nut wrenches" have a slot cut out one flat (out of six usually) wide ,so
that the wrench can be used in an "Inline" situation.[for example the nuts that
secure the high pressure lines to each injector]I don't know if you need these
wrenches used on brake hose nuts.

yes those flare nut wrenches are an excellent idea when loostening hoses. the hose fittings tend to be difficult to loosten since they tend to be pretty old when you need to loosten them. so use some pb blaster on the fitting. in some cases you will want to use a second wrench on the other side of the connection you are wanting to get off, as in when the connection is on a bracket.
proceed with caution and try to avoid stripping the nut lands.

otherwise the change proceedure is simple.

good luck
