Does anyone have a proper w'shop manual for a W124 auto trans?

I have a manual, but it's too simple.

My car's a daily driver, so I want to make sure I know what I'm in for and what parts I need to buy before I pull it to bits.

I need a blow up of the servo housing on the rear RHS of the auto trans behind a SOHC 103 engine. It's above the pan and is just up and around from the electro magnetic switch on the rear RHS of the box. Same side as the exhaust.

It's circular, held on with 3-4 allen head bolts and one 10mm head nut on a stud. Oh, and it leaks a lot of oil.........

Thanks!

That’s the secondary pump, sealed to the case with an o-ring. Remove the 10mm nut, but first note the locating of the cut out in the rod which holds the governor in place, then remove the three Allen bolts and pry the pump off. When you install the nut put some sealant on it, turn the rod cw until it stops then tighten the nut.

Cool, thanks.

There appears to be a few parts that will seal with an o ring on this assy. But now I know what it is!

By the way, is there anything in that assy that prevents it being removed whilst still attached to the car? Or do I need to drop the box down to clear anything for removal/refit?

Thanks again!

If you need more room take the bolts off of the drive shaft center section and the cross member , now you can push the transmission to one side.

Cool, just wanted to be sure there wasn't any long parts that have to come out when it's removed.
