1997 E420 idle problems
 

I just replaced my radiator in my car yesterday and now when I am in N or Park the car is reving up to like 2000 rpm all by its self? No problems in Drive? Also I really screwed up when replacing my radiator.......everything went flawlessly but when I was finished and shut the hood I think I closed it on the hood release cable and now the passenger side realease wont come unclamp? Anyone have any ideas about how to get it open???? also check engine Electronics light was on before the radiator cracked and it would idle fine? I did hose off the engine a little before I put the new radiator in? could this be a problem??

When you say hose off, do you mean completely soaking the engine without caution to the electronics? That might of caused something, especially if water fell directly onto the spark plugs.

I just brushed off loose dirt and grime then shot it with the hose! I guess some water could of got near the plugs but why would this cause a inconsistant idle?
