What would cause an AC blower to pause before kicking on.
It does this for about 5 seconds then works fine.

The blower motor regulators can go bad on those, but usual symptoms are lower than normal blower speed or erratic blower speed.

Also, IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, I think that the climate control on that vehicle moves the blend door motors to the desired position before kicking on the blower motor. You may first try synchronizing the stepper motors. And I can not rememeber if this can be done in the vehicle without the MB computer.
