Hiello everyone,

Yes, its me again. I've been thorugh this website, Googled several different phrases, looked at 8 diagrams on my Mercedes Repair CD's (aka "My Bible")that tell me how to do it, but I can't figure out where the bloody oxygen sensor is on my car. All the diagrams show a close up of removing the bracket the holds it. Great! But, where the heck is that darn bracket? It seems like on some models one end is accessible from the engine compartment, and on other models you can only get to it from under the car, which would make sense since it plugs into my catalytic converter -right? So, when I'm under the car, I can't see anything along the converter, or the exhaust system that resembles the oxygen sensor. It's pretty dirty, but still, I think I should be able to spot a foot long thick wire. Anyone know?

This will be the last dumb question I ask this month. I promise.

Also, would someone please forward me a horror story about cleaning their engine so I don't go at this damn thing with my toothbrush?

Thanks very much everyone,
Craig

P.S. I still love my car.

it should be in the exhaust system connected to the large pre cat just where the exhaust exits the engine. look up slightly it should be there unless the exhaust has been altered.

Found it.

It is sitting around & behind a big metal plate/covering for something (I have no idea what it is). If i had looked from the front bumper backwards, I would have seen the first plug, but instead I was looking down the length of the converter expecting to see something that looked like a plug.

Thanks for the help.
