I have two seat heater switches that are not working
well. I haven't been able to find a price for them.
Do I have to go to MB? What would they cost? One
of mine is intermittant and the other just doesn't
work, (although the light works).

Thanks,

Are you sure that the switches are no good..(since the control light is working).
Just dive underneath the seats and try to find power at the heater plugs with a test light.

If the control light is illuminated, the switch does hand over the power...

...just a thought...
greetingz,

The heaters work, just not the switch. I just ordered the
switches from Partsshop here for $31.50 each. The part
is 126 820 68 10.

Just a quick update; I received the switches from Partsshop
and they turned out to be the wrong ones. My mistake because I didn't
provide my chassis number. It turns out that MB changed the
part in early 1986. I have a July 1986 car. The early switches
are larger W124 units. Mine are smaller W126 ones. Got the
new ones and they work fine. With the new ones installed, I
took the old ones apart and saw the contacts and points. If
you have trouble, first try to clean the internals with a good
contact cleaner. It might work. If not, the new switch will.
