Angry 350sl with 4.5l - bad engine

The engine of my 1972 350sl (4.5l) run without oil pressure now is history. I have a 1978 euro 350slc and think of swapping entire drive train including rear end. Is there an easy way? Like dropping the subframe including eng/tran? Will the 3.5l fit the wiring? Does anyone know?

Sorry to hear it, but...

I have a 4.5L engine from a 1972 450SL built in 7/71 (probably a 350SL build).

Are you looking for a replacement engine for it?
