1997 S320 / W140 Driver exterior mirror
 
I removed the auto-dimming mirror glass to replace it with a new MB-parts mirror. On the back of the mirror is a metal wire that should "slip" over the mount inside the mirror housing. Does anyone know how to slip the wire over the mount? Do you need to remove the mirror housing?

Hmmm,

Why are you removing the autodim mirror? Is it broken?
