1982 380 motor, still single or double T-chain?
Considering picking up what appears to be a Euro 380SEC that doesn't run. Since it's an '82 I THINK it's still the single chain motor... :o If so, it probably has topend damage is my guess. But did the Euro ones have double chains always or ... Thanks for any help! |
The 380 engines in Europe were always double chained.
In the U.S., the 380 engines went to the double chain I think in the middle of 1983. |
I'll swap you a dual chain motor for that compressor. :D

Euro motor? I think I found an Euro SEC :D
Maybe I'll stick a Euro 500 in there, I know where one is at... |
US:(
Put the 500 in it anyways. :D You will need the lsd though. Seriously. If you need parts your welcome to this engine. |
:D Have to see how this will play out, car doesn't run so I'm not going to pay more than $500 for it.
The SEC has a pegleg axle? :( |

I called about a 500SEC that was for sale reasonable not long ago. I decided not to go for it. The guy has called me a few times since so, it could be had for a very reasonable amount I suspect. |
