Spark Plugs don't fit...

Plugs need to be replaced. So, I go to Autozone and pick up some AC Delco's. I get home and double check the part number on AC Delco's website and they seem to be the correct plugs. Here's the thing... The terminal doesn't fit in the boot. Now, I seem to recall that on my Honda's NGK's I had the same problem and found that the terminal cap screwed off. Unfortunately, the cap on these AC Delco's doesn't screw off. Am I incorrect in believing that I was able to screw them off before? If not, which plugs should I use on my '73 280c (114 chasis, 110 engine)? Please help. Thank you.

Greg

Tom: He said AC Delco, not Champion. Champions are great plugs for some vehicles (like my Jeep). AC Delcos are garbage in everything.

Return the AC Delcos and order some Bosch or NGK plugs from right on this site. You will be glad you did, and they all screw off (in fact I think they come unscrewed). I believe every AC-D plug has the terminal permanently attatched to the end.

Bosch it is...

Or NGKs. Either way, I'll check the terminals to make sure they're removable. In my defence, the AC Delco's were the cheapest, and I only needed something to get me to my parents house to adjust/troubleshoot the carbuerator with my dad this weekend. My plugs keep fouling from the engine running too lean.

Anyhow, thanks for your help everyone.
