leaking power steering fluid in 99 clk320

Have a constant leak - The reservoir empties and I have to replenish almost every two weeks. Any suggestions? I had a similar leak in the 98 ml320 (same engine), but it has not returned after one top0ff. Thanks.

Any drippage from the car when you park it overnight?

You're gonna have to crawl under the car to find the leak.

Yes, black spots dripping down under the front of the car.

Under which component are the drips?

I check again, but I believe appx under the p/s reservoir.

It sounds like it's the power steering pump. They sell rebuild kits for the pump.

Thanks. Sounds like installation is not an easy DIY job?

I haven't done it yet myself. The rebuild kit is considerably cheaper than buying a new or rebuilt pump. You can buy either by clicking on BUY PARTS on top of this page. I don't know how difficult this job is, or whether the rebuild requires any special tools or techniques. Try searching the archives. I know this job has been discussed before.
