Gas Smell
 

Hello All
I Am Having Problem With My 1992 400se Mercedes Benz ,there Is Gas Smell Inside The Car,that I Never Had Problem With Befor,i Do Not See Any Gas Leak ,also My Gas Level Is Very Normal,any One Knows Whats Going On Please?thanks

When did you last fuel up the car?
Make sure there is no leak to the ground near the rear of the car near the fuel filter.

Check for a leaking fuel line to the fuel distributor as well -- it was leaking on the TE, not enough to see unless you removed the air filter housing, but caused a distinct fuel smell.

Doesn't take much fuel leakage to make it stink, and the fumes can go almost directly into the air intake in traffic.

thanks for the help,i checked everything was fine,but the smell is coming from inside the car ,near the seat,no smell from trunck or near the engin at all
