Motor Mounts - Left/Right Identical
Are the l/r motor mounts on a 1996 c280 identical? I.e., order the same part?

Rather than ask, why not just click on the Buy Parts Tab at the top. Find your car and find the mount. If they are different there will be two different part nos.

Engine mounts are sold in pairs. If you need clarification you can always call FastLane for more info or email fastlane@peachparts.com

Legit question.
Although your mounts are the same , many Benz chassis have left/right specific mounts. http://catalog.eautopartscatalog.com/mercedesshop/sophio/wizard.jsp?partner=mercedesshop&clientid=catalog.mercedesshop&baseurl=http://catalog.peachparts.com/&cookieid=1W70PZW4N20Z11X9IC&year=1996&make=MB&model=C-280-001&category=A&part=Engine+Mount |

Thanks, Arthur.
To answer the other posts, I like this website because I can get a knowledgeable answer from someone like Arthur versus depending on the entry of a database programmer. I have received wrong parts before despite what the catalog said. Asking online seems (is) easier than calling in and now there is a record of this question for anyone who does a search. As Arthur noted, I noticed on other posts that some other MB models had 2 different mounts. I'm not trying to waste anyone's time. Tomguy, you did bring up another question, though. Are they really sold in pairs? Somehow, I doubt that. I think I might have to call in to find that answer. |
