The fuel pump on my w124 230e (166k miles) has been intermitently noisy for the last couple of years. Sometimes I don't notice any noise other times a distinct buzzing can be heard from the drivers seat. Will the pump continue like this for many more miles or is it likely to stop suddenly? What is the average life for a Bosch fuel pump?
I don't mind the noise but don't want to be left stranded.
