How to Make a Mercedes Engineer Cry

I'm a bit of a kayak addict. I know admission is the first step. I grabbed a $1700 300e to use as my kayaking, biking and skiing rig. ABS and Airbags are cool.

The first day it was home, I wanted to go boating. So I laid down some cardboard and ran the straps through the car:

Later, I finally got my Thule:

The sunroof was broken when I bought the car. After some investigation, I've decided to leave it broken for now. I decided it was safer to seal it. I'm going to be away for 2 months before the Oregon rain starts.

Wow. I wish you luck in getting that silicone sealer off without ruining the paint!

Boy,

I gotta give you a Dick Enberg for that:
OOOOHHH MYYY !!!!
I'll second the last post. Hope it comes off without much trouble.

That car looks too nice to do that to it. Except for the missing strip, that car looks pretty clean. A repaint?

(FYI, the 300 coupe has pop up fittings to attach a factory roof rack. I don't think the sedan ever did though. )

I'm sorry the pictures make it look nice. It's on a rebuilt title and the paint has stratches everywhere in it.

It's pretty easy to clean out the drain hoses.
