Fixed Diesel Leak - I feel so Proud

After searching and reading replies to my questions on my leaking diesel fuel on my 98 300D, I decided to tackle the repair myself. Before doing any disassembling I could tell it was coming from between the shutoff valve and the IP. I thought I would try to replace just the o-ring seal since I learned I could do that without removing the intake manifold. Bought the part at the dealer for $3.42 and picked up a T-25 torx socket at Sears.

I am pretty handy at most things but cars have been a bit of a mystery. I figured worse case scenario, I'd be having AAA tow it to my shop.

I followed the instructions I read on this site and bam! Job completed, leak gone. Confidence gained, too, so if I need to delve deeper and replace all the lines I might not be reluctant.

I had to brag somewhere, I told my wife and got the typical "That's nice dear."

Thats great to here.

This site has given me the resources and knowledge required to do 95% of the work on my 300E and the learning and and doing have really become one of my favorite hobbys.

One other resource that is highly recomended is the factory service CD.
It can be hard to navigate but really does have every thing you need to know aboutr your car's systems... except the transmission.

1984 300 SD Fuel leak

Just purchased and have discovered a fuel leak.
Overnight I collected about 1/3 cup of diesel.
It was dripping on the AC compressor, so somewhere above that.

Any initial ideas on this ? (injector area is clean and dry)
