do you need a seal punch to put the seals on or can this be done with a block of wood?

thanks..got one at Pep boys..but come to find out the *person* that owned the car before me changed the steering knuckle to the 560 sec so the bearings were not the same as the 380 SEC...well it works..the bearings were really worn and blue..so good thing got them changed.
