Convertible top problems

The top on my '91 300sl will not work anymore. When I push the button to put the top up or down, nothing happens. Any help? And my ABS light is on and I can't figure out why. Advice on fixing either of these problems would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I had exactly the same problem after my battery went dead.

Turned out one of the OVP relay fuses had blown during charging and this somehow threw the soft top controller bonkers.

The OVP is under the cover in the engine compartment in front of the pax seat. It is a small icecube type relay with a clear cover and two ATO fuses. The fuses looked fine, but when tested with a vom, I found one to be bad. I then had to clear a bunch of fault codes in the top. After that, all was well.

Below is a link to the thread. If the link does not work, go to the SL forum on this site, and do an advanced search for "dead battery" and user "waybomb".
