Operating pressure for trans
My trans is slipping a little so I wanted to check the operating pressures. I have atsg rebuild manual but it dosen't say what the pressures should be. Manual has procedure for checking governer, operating and modulator pressure just no numbers. It is a 560 sel 1990 with a 722.350. Can anyone help out?

I think what is needed is the test sheet for that trans, I think that's where the pressures are listed. Maybe a dealer has some, or someone can print one off of WIS for you. I may have one, but might be a few days before I can find one.

The 1981 & later transmissions...ie; 722.3 & 722.4 DON'T have provisions for checking working pressure..only modulator & governor pressures.
IF the trans is slipping have the modulator pressure checked..that is the "how hard" control. |
trans slip
usually when slip starts to occur in 722.350 trans you will find that reverse clutches are worn out.temporary fix is to up the pressure that makes the shift by winding the modulator pressure up [about 2 turns].this is done by removing cap[rubber]on mod, pull gold colored key out a bit, wind clockwise then replace. david poole european performance dallas tx.
