A/C E.T.R. switch location on W123
 

Could someone tell me where the A/C E.T.R. switch for my 1983 240D is located. Here on Mercedes Shop...The part # is R 1067-74365.....and what does it do and when should it do it...Thank you...gene2

I looked up the part and it looks like a temperature sensor for the A/C. I would look for the part to be somewhere in the air box under the dash aft of the A/C evaperator. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

:fork_off: OK LITTLE BROTHER,HERE IT GOES..1ST; THE ETR IS THE EVAP TEMPERATURE REGULATOR...IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS(AND IT SAYS WHAT IT DOES)...IT IS BASICALLY A THERMOMETER(IN THE FORM OF A CAPILLARY TUBE THROUGH A RESISTOR) THAT IS USED TO PREVENT EVAP FREEZE UP(YUP EVEN ON AN OLD TUGBOAT IT NEEDS IT). ON YOUR CAR IT WILL BE LOCATED ON THE RIGHT SIDE ,BEHIND THE UNDERDASH/GLOVEBOX CLOSE TO THE TRANS TUNNEL(I THINK)...IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE A SQUARE METAL BOX WITH A LONG METAL TUBE :fork_off: :fork_off:
