E320, automatic, model 1995,Head lights low beam?

For the last three days the low beams (HEAD LIGHTS) were not switching on whereas the high beams are working, so i thought the elements of the tubes had gone. So replaced the new tubes. Still the position is the same. Only the high beam is coming.
Have also checked fuse no 13 & 14 from the fuse box. Both seems to be ok.

Any help will be highly appreciated.......

Best Regards

When you move the switch back & forth between high & low, does the low beam FUSES ever get power?

You mean when we move the low beam stick up and down for Low and High. Well shall be grateful if you guide me as how to check it with the volt meter. Correct me if i am wrong.I will ask my wife to sit in the driver seat and will check it from the fuse box, by putting the negative and positive needles of the volt meter on fuse no 13 which is meant for the left beam.

Or there is some other way to check?

Today one of my friend who is also a mechanic was invited on my house on dinner. Discussed the above mentioned problem with him. He started checking with a tester that the head beams were getting the current or not. Secondly he opened the on / off knob for lights that was also passing current. Then he opened the steering wheel and removed the stick meant for the wipers/ low & high beam. He found that to be the main culprit. So we both went to the junk market and purchased the whole of the stick along with its connections for 30$. Not bad at all. The whole problem was solved there and then.
This might help for those who are moving with the same problem
