Security System
 

I have a 96 c220 mercedes and I noticed there was no fuse in the fuse box on the # 3 slot which is the security system and I put a fuse there but still it wont work does anyone have an idea.

A short?
 

I wonder if it could have had a short in it that was causing it to go off intermittently, leading the PO to just remove the fuse to stop the problem? That's how some people solve problems like that (including me if I don't have time to fix it at the moment).
