I came across this post http://c-speedracing.com/bbs/Forum5/HTML/000248.html in a Honda discussion forum. Please view this post and drive carefully. Nowdays the danger from traffic accidents can also come from the above...

About the Honda, that is amazing. Took out 13 cars!! Will his Insurance pay for that!?

Secondly,
Reading that thread make me sick. See how they treat eachother? (No offense to any of you who have Hondas but...) Just goes to show you what kind of people drive Mercedes-Benz's vs. Hondas.

Scenes like this reiterate the importance of driving within your limits. The sad thing is that this accident did not have to happen, it could have been easily avoided. It is one thing to be in an accident caused by a poor driver that you could not evade, but it's an entirely different thing to be in an accident as a result of your own negligent recklessness.

Oh yes, of course... And what Ben said!!
I can see how your feelings have changed on this matter! That is good to hear.

BTW, are you going to post on the aftermath of your accident?

David, my accident case is not completely closed yet, so I am somewhat hesitant to post any details on such a public forum. Send me e-mail and I will gladly tell you what has happened and what I expect may happen.

Eventually when everything is finished I will make a public post.

In the meantime, I should mention that I got to keep my 300SD and I have a new 300D.

I read the thread in the Honda forum.

Not much to be impressed about. We are quite blessed to be in the company of fellow mature MB drivers. Certain for sure.

wow...The three occupants of that car were very lucky!
The guy behind the steering wheel must be one hell of an idiot!
It is funny, however, to see what people will notice on the posted pictures...his emergency brake was pulled up
That was definitely something I would not have seen, but it is a good start to get your car flying in a high-speed turn.

greetingz,

Absolutley INSANE! Wow! Hey "troydewan" you should take a good look at this. Amazing that they all lived. The tires do look bald on the edges though. The funniest comment is the American car lover that keeps making fun of the Hondas...made me laugh

I know! And why the hell do you think he was on a Honda forum if he loves American cars so much? Just to put others down? Reassure himself that his AMERICAN car is better than Imports? (which they aren't by far, we all know that, who is he kidding?)

Funny, if someone were to come on this forum and say... "Mercedes suck" Longston, Lebenz, and John Shellenberg would get right on their case with multiple chapter dissertations about Mercedes vs Othercar. All those guys can muster up on c-speed is "this is not welcome here, we'll ban you" D'oh!

Which brings up another idea. Wouldn't it be great to see a forum vs forum forum, and eventually a coupla laps around Laguna Seca, or head to head at Pomona Speedway? We'll have the 500E contingent head up Team Mercedesshop!

Look, Up In The Air...

It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's Accordman!

Faster than common sense, more powerful than 13 Camaros, able to leap off of the highway in a single bound!

Yes, it's Accordman, strange visitor from another state of mind, who came to Earth with a loud crash! Accordman - Who can change the shape of sheetmetal, bend steel with his stupidity, and who, disguised as a normal human being, fights the never ending battle for Ego, Cheap Thrills, and the Idiot Way!

If you don't get it, go here: http://www.fiftiesweb.com/superman.htm

Now, you can see why some of us here are such hard asses about traffic safety. If this nimrod bought a Mercedes instead, and had used the money he spent on the tires, wheels, sound system and other "goodies" he put in that POS toward a good driving school, he'd still be driving...

Can you feature the phone call to the guy who owns the car lot? "Hi Bubba, this here's Jim-Ed with the city po-lice, y'all might wanna git down heah to y'all's dealer-ship. Some damn fool kid done squished 13 of yer best Camaros!".

ROFFLMMFAO...

P.S. to Kuan...

If someone say, Mercedes suck, I would see the negative Chi in them, and place mirrors and windchimes to counteract...

Besides, no time to react, honorable web-masta derete post!

Reminds me of that Cline Eastwood movie where he drove a MBZ out of the top floor of a building to get away from a bomb.
The only reason those guys lived is because the Honda landed reasonably flat.
