I have a 1989 560 SEC that idles at approx. 1700 RPM at random. What should I look for to correct this fast idle problem?

I'll check all linkages,idle control valve,throttle switch,overload relay,possible vacuum leak? hope this help

try testing the idle control valve and the idle control relay...had that problem when those componets went out in my car
