Brabus W140

Hey everyone,

I was just curious to know if anyone had any information (pictures of different setups, reviews, etc.) about the Brabus W140 cars that were available during the nineties. I've read a couple of posts about them and I was able to dig up the pdf promo brochure that someone had scanned but that's about it (certainly better than nothing so far :) ). I'm not usually a huge aftermarket kinda guy, I'm a bigger fan of the concept of "A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing." I love the subtle looks of the Brabus 140 pictured below. It doesn't look like it's been to the Brabus finishing school at first glance, but that enormous twin turbo V12 is always ready to give you a quick reminder. Also notice how the body is a pre '95 facelift version that isn't two tone but entirely black. I liked the pre-facelift versions a little more but liked the face lifted mono-tone paint schemes as well. Here's the best of both worlds :) .

Does anyone know anyone that owns/driven one? Also, where would I look to find some Brabus parts for their cars? I know Brabus still stocks some of them but I really don't want to pay Brabus prices for them :rolleyes: . So right now my best guess is to just keep my eyes peeled on eBay perhaps.

(This post probably belongs in the performance paddock but I'd thought I'd fish it out here first considering the number of readers here is 10 to 1.)

Thanks!!

Perhaps it was the pdf that I made from a brochure
that I have?

I see no mention of any turbo? Only enlarging displacement.

...and where is one for sale in Germany.
If I was colorblind and the taxes for getting it
to Norway was lower, I would buy it straight away;

The interior is indeed fairly tragic. Otherwise wow!

syljua,

The pdf I have is a scan that you made. Thanks!! The turbo was probably just a rumor I heard somewhere. The brochure does only say that the Brabus engine has a larger displacement. Wasn't there a newer V12 created for the 140 in the late nineties by Brabus?

7.3L, I think someone on this site has a Brabus SL73 but I could be mistaken.

As a side note, not to be confused with the engine used in the Zonda, while that seems to be an M120 as well its an AMG effort.
