Odd wandering 300TE
Just took the 300TE for a 800mile run this weekend!
Fully "loaded with stuff" on the way up to No Cal, in 80deg and in a variety of traffic from stopped and crawling for 1.5 hrs in LA to 90mph+ cruising... it returned nearly 400 miles on one tank...21.5mpg! and it definately is not running 100% yet Anyways... I did notice something that felt a little odd... On some backroads, I was looking for some passing and I noticed that when you really floor the gas, the nose of the car darts left more than felt right... and when you lift off the nose tucks back in to the right. Could not tell if it was front or rear that was doing this, but I suspect the rear, as it is torque steer. At an even throttle, it runs straight and true... not much crosswind sensitivity at all. I seached but did not find an answer... Ideas?

Almost always caused by a shift of the rear axle. Watch each of the rear wheels while someone else does a POWER BRAKE while sitting still...if you see serious movement fore/aft on either side then you will find a bad thrust link on the side.

mb doc hit it right on the nose.two angled forward links on each side at the rear and one or more of the bushings are shot.you buy whole link with bushings and one has had a bolt diameter change so be careful.one is easy a one is not [need to remove brake rotor to get to one end].

Sorry for the delay... busy weeks at work!
Thanks for the feedback gents! So, do I have to replace the whole arm, or can you just do the bushes?

Put the car up and looked at the rear suspension...
The lower forward arm looks good... I believe thats the thrust arm, but its the upper one of that pair that is bad on both sides.... you can see the rubber sticking out both sides both ends! Am I right to call that one the torque strut? I cant find that part on Phils site?

Some of these various links - arms require special bushing kits. Best to phone and make sure you get correct one per your VIN.
