I have a 2000 CLK 430. I can start the car. the car would stay running, but when apply gas to it it won't take gas. it seems like the gas pedal does not work. I press the gas pedal it won't do anything while the gas still running. what would be the problem?

Any check engine lights? most likely a lack of fuel...the accelerator potentiometer actually sends signals to the fuel computer to open the throttle & at that point it is up to the mass air flow sensor & fuel pressure to richen the mixture.
