(85 300D Turbo) I have to replace my fuel hose because its leaking. I know its undignified to go to Pep Boys and put thier fuel hose on Daimler Benz's finest, but I'm running out of time--this car has to be inspected soon, so I can pull the engine. Does anyone have any suggestions for over the counter fule hose I can buy , hopefully, tonight?

If you got to have it tonite

then take a sample of what you are running and see if you can match it up with "fuel grade" hose of the same size. Make sure it is "fuel grade". I would think it would be better than leaking anyway.

You can get some delivered next day right here from Fastlane.com I'm sure. It can be at your house tomorrow afternoon. You could run what you purchase local tonite and install the site supplied material Wednesday afternoon.

Is this hose the one that goes from injector to injector? Any dealer or a Mercedes independent shop shoud have a supply of cloth covered fuel hoses. If you don't have a Mercedes dealer near you, try a VW dealer. They have diesels as well and they probably get their hoses from the same company that Mercedes gets theirs. It's worth a shot. I can understand you not wanting to put some chessy Pepboys part on a Mercedes. You want to keep it German OEM, as you should if you can.
