5 Attachment(s)
Hello there People!!
Another member of the W124 200k club. My 1991 300e just hit 200000 miles this past weekend. The W124 should definately go down as one of the best cars ever built in automotive history!!! Hands down!!! Travel all over the world.. you will not miss one!!! I had her detailed this past weekend and she just looks fab!!! Everything works!! I painted the front grill insert black and love the look.. Mobil 1 full synthetic oil, Ice cold A/C R134!!! Tranny shifts great!!! Not a single shimmy even at 100 miles an hour. Just a solid car!!! All kiding aside I think she is getting better with age.... Still drives like new I love this car!! She needs nothing!!! She has the Euro's, wood shift knob, and even the updated post '92 center console box. " A WELL MAINTAINED M103 IS LIKE A FINE WINE IT GETS BET................ " " yUP!!" |
Well done! Condition is superb! :happy2:

Curious where you got the 92 center counsel? I would like one for my 90. Same exact car as yours. Same color, rims, parchment interior. Mine has 110,000. Also I have the heated seats, cuz you GOTTA have em in Wisconsin. I see your plates are " Florida" Can I live with you from Dec-April? kikikikiki. I am getting different rims and bigger tires also. Not crazy about the 15s

Congrats!:beerchug:

awesome. 50k more to go and you'll receive a nice plaque from Mercedes!!
|
Thanks !!
Thanks folks!!! I do love this car!! Oh and I forgot to mention that she does not burn any oil between changes even at this mileage!!!
MILHAN - I got the center console box at a junk yard for Mercs, the guy didn't know what it was worth and gave it to me for $20.00, at the time it had grey leather on it. I stripped it, bought some leather to match my interior , cut it, glued it on and voila!!!! The Center console box will fit on any W124 even from '86, if you remove the fabric at the bottom, it will fasten on with two screws. Looks like Mercedes had planned for it or something when they were building the car but didn't actually put it into effect until '92. As for the rims....call me crazy but I like them, the still look good and the ride is great!! Of course I won't turn down a set of good condition 8 holes but for now I am keeping them!!! PROV1 - I think I'll change my user name to PROV1X , Best ball ever!!! |
Hello,
Do you mind putting a picture up of the car with the brake lights on? I noticed that you have the aftermarket lenses, and I am seriously considering them for my car. I just wanted to see what the lighting was like before buying them. Thanks! |

Actually he already qualifies for the 250K. The mileage award is for 250,000 km (156,250 mi). In another 212,000 mi I think there is a 500,000 km award. |
I'll see what I can do

I'll see what I can do for you on taking a picture of the lights. Maybe I'll put a stone or something on the brake pedal and take a pict for you. Man the things a car guy will do for his fellow car guy!!! lol !!! |
fantastic! My 202 feels the same at 133k as it did at 70k. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a drama-free 200k approach, probably in 2 years (I drive a bit ;) ). People laugh when I say this, but it is true - MBs are like good wine; you can appreciate them more with age because, when "stored" properly, they wear better with age than any other make

I’ve got a little under 80,000 to go – good to hear of a 103 doing well at 200,000.
Well done. |
