560 front shocks
does any one know what type of socket does it take to change front shocks on 560. has many sides on the bolt/nut whatever you call it .i have tried numerous sockets with out any luck.

iirc it takes a 12 point 10mm. and you need a 1/2" drive to turn it cause it takes alot of torque to get them out.
with the breaker bar. good luck. you have to unhook the top of the shock and swing it to one side then the other to get on the bolts. tom w |
560SL? 560SEL? 560SEC?

560sel tried 10 was too small and 11 was to big

johnlo, if that's the case try English size sockets.
|
try 10 again. your nut is just dirty. it is a tight fit, that is why it will develop so much torque.
it is not english. trust me. tom w |
I agree with Tom, it's a 10mm twelve point.
