? about 84' 230e
I am interested in purchasing a 1984 230e. It was a gray market car, but I have looked at it and everything works and the car is in great shape. I was wondering about compression tests for the car before I purchase it. Can anyone tell me how many lbs. each cylinder should have or give any tips on other things to look for concerning this model. I would love to buy the car, but not if it will be giving me trouble in the not too distant future.
Thanks. |
Basicly like a GOOD W123 chassis 300D but with a 190E 8V motor. If maintained they can be a great car. In Germany this was a very good selling car! Compression with a warm engine should be around 150lbs@sq". TIMING chains on early cars are suspect!!!
