does 1984 380SE have a factory double row timining chain?

the only way to be completely sure is to pull a valve cover.


My 83 has a dual row - and it didnt come with the engine.

my 84 500 does. and i think the 380s did too in 84.

yes it has double chain.

The only M116 engines with a "single row" chain were the 1981-83 USA versions.
