W140 Problems 95 S500 Coupe

I'm new to this forum and I encountered 3 major problems with my car so far. And I need Help!!If you guys have any suggestions that will be great!
95 s500 coupe 116000 miles
1-My car has been in limp mode off and on for a while but now I'm completely stuck with it. The last time it came on was I was at a stop light, my foot on the brake and the car wanted to go by itself. Finally ASR kicked in but it scared the ?!?!? out of me. It used to come on with cruise control being unstable. I'm assuming it's the ETA but could it be MAF also?

2-My aux fans come on as soon as I turn the ignition on. They checked the coolant switch, the AC pressure switch they were ok. The last thing came to mind was climate control unit. It looks like when the ambient temperature gage is above 68f, aux fans are always on, when it's below they are off regardless of what happens. Any ideas?

3-the two door locks are not working but everything else does. And lately the fuel door started acting weird. I checked the vacuum comp under the seat there is no leaks inside. What should I do.
I love this car but sometimes it gets on my nerves.
Thank you.

I would get a tool called mighty vac, it allows you to to disconnect a line and draw a vacuum, if it does not hold there is a problem. The coupe is unique because it does not have the rear doors, but it does have seat releases. All of your issues seem to be centered on the lock/unlock pump/lumbars and gas door. The locking pump is not as common as the close assist but can fail. You need to identify the issue and then track, if you dont have the DVD or read these forums you wont have a clue.

I'll bet your car needs the whole upper wiring harness ....M119 motor, right?

Check the insulation, or lack thereof, on the harness. That vintage MB used biodegradeable wiring covers made from vegetables and your lucky if you've gone this long on the original wiring. Around $500 for a new harness that you can put on yourself (maybe 20 connectors) if you take your time.

Rule that out first before changing out any sensors/parts IMO. A few cheap parts to switch out regardless is the brake stop lamp switch and the kick-down switch under the gas pedal (around $20-25 each). Those can also cause the 'LH' mode to come up.

Of course, checking the fault codes thru the CAN is a must also. Good luck. Nice cars them old S-class but like most any 10 year old plus car....$$$ to maintain.
