W220 Climate Control - Air not coming out any vents

My CC doesn't put airflow out of any vents even when I have the temp set to HI and the fan speed all the way up. I can hear the fan blowing (so the blower motor is good) but its as if all of the vents are closed - no matter what the airflow selector says.

Any ideas??

Has the battery been disconnected OR replaced? If so then re-setting the "motors" for the air distribution could be the answer.

Try pushing & HOLDING the "rest" button & count to 3 and then ALSO press & HOLD the rest button until the A/C display switches over to inactive (inaktiv). Release both buttons. When that happens use the passenger side RED temp switch to re-activate the display to active (einlauf aktic). After that depress the rest button again.

Thanks MB Doc -

Just a bit of confusion:

1. Press and hold the "REST" button for ~3 seconds
2. ?? Continue holding the "REST" (?) button until the display switches to "inaktiv"
3. ?? Release both (?) buttons
4. Press the passenger side (RED) to reactivate the display
5. Press the "REST" button again

In #2 did you mean the "0" (off) or "EC" button to hold as well as "REST" - This CC only has one "REST" button (see attached)

FWIW I haven't done anything with the battery - and this usually happens after we've been driving for some time (say > 1hr on the road - not right away at startup)

Thanks so much!

Hey I had this problem with my car recently, its a c class. Turns out, after parking my car under trees all summer, I ended up with so much junk in my cabin filter that it almost blocked off any feeling of the vents releasing anything. I could hear my motor running, but nothing was coming out of the vents. Under the DIY section of this site, their are instructions on where its located and how to give it a check. It really helped me out and I found a cabin filter that was so filthy it weighed about 10 pounds...lol. So i hope this cheap fix is the same problem you might be having.

After trying the electronic reseting recommended by M.B.Doc, also check all your A/C filters. Old and clogged air filters would degrade the airflow down to 0.
