722.6 transmission fill hole cover + red pin question
 

I managed to get the black cover and the attached red pin off, but i can't figure out how to put it back in, it won't attach tightly anymore.

I do have a new cover & red pin though, can someone tell me how to put everything together so that i can get a tight seal? thanks!!

There is supposed to be an O ring on the cover that keeps it tightly in place. Mine is on tight enough with just the O ring that I don't even replace the red safety tab/lock. Someone else had a similar problem and they found that their O ring was either missing or had gotten stuck in the filler tube.

Pro, those red pins are supposed to be single use. Some can remove them and re-use. Have a couple of new pins ready. They are around $1.
