Near the battery. If the car has all it's original do-dads, there is a black plastic panle behind the battery, this can be removed by hand. The relay is back there. On top, amongst all the part numbers you will see that it says "6 ZYL" on it (6 cylinder), and also list an RPM, which is the safety cut-out rpm. The one that says "KLIMA" on it is the relay for the AC compressor, looks just like it otherwise. You'll also see a small metal relay with a clear door on top with a fuse or two under that door, that's the famous "OVP", overvoltage protection relay. Couple big control modules back of that too, engine, ABS modules are the big guys.

found relay, car will not start

Thanks for the information.
I removed the plastic pannel and found all that good stuff that i was looking for. I looked allover, in trunk, under the car, underback seat, under dash, I thought I looked everywhere.

My problem is to solve the injection problem. car will start for 1 second and then stops, I clipped a test light to the fuel pump and the pump starts and stops when i turn the key on. I am trying to determine if it the relay or maybe a presure problem.

You can jump, as a test, the sockets #30 and #87 (directly across from each other in about the middle of the socket the relay plugs in to) and bypass the relay, JUST as a test. This confirms the fuel pump and the rest of the injection system is OK. You'd be fairly certain at that point the relay is bad, not 100% guaranteed, but close.

So which one is the fuel pump relay? I found this thread because I have the same question, but I do not see the description of the FP relay in this paragraph. The other info is valuable, though.

I thought Gilly gave a pretty good description of the relay there, no?
