link for sticky c class gauge
I followed information from the following link (found somewhere on this page) because I had a sticky temp gauge on my 1994 c-280. it was very helpful and having never done this before I fixed the gauge in about 30 minutes. be sure to cover the gauges and wheel with something to protect scratches on the lense and take your time!! I hope this helps someone later with the same problem!

Thanks a lot for this post. This is great. I also have a '95 C280 which has been plagued with problems. After over one year of headaches, I think things have finally been resolved. It's amazing what you can do when you pour lots of money into your vehicle. That includes, new head gasket, new engine wire harness, rebuilt throttle actuator, new plugs and ignition wires.
