At the shop I work we have Alldata and as you say it has everthing you don't need but nothing we do need. About the MB how do I go about getting them.

Someone else was asking about that, so I asked my boss(I'm a dealer guy). With a dealer, you just "get it", never have to worry about it. So I asked what he thinks an independent would need to do to get, say, a "subscription" to WIS. He wasn't sure, he thought the best first step would be to call 1 (800) FOR-MERCedes and ask to talk to someone about technical literature. I'd try calling roughly 9am to 4pm Eastern time, the people you need to talk to probably aren't there 24 hours. Let me know how you are doing, I haven't heard of an independent shop getting WIS, curious what they tell you and about how much it costs.....Gilly
