stupid eric, stupid
'88 300 SEL; had a squeak coming from the sunroof headliner. Thought I could spray silicone grease on it if I lowered the sunroof a notch and sprayed from above the car toward the back of the panel. Unfortunately, as I was spraying in the dead center rear of the sunroof from above, the little plastic tube that focuses the grease coming out of the can fell off and fell into the sunroof. So now, two questions.
1. This thing is thin, maybe 2-3 mm tops and flexible- what are the odds it could mess up my till now, perfectly functioning sunroof? 2. If it could possibly mess it up, and I need to pull off the headliner to see where to remove the plastic tube from, how do I remove the headliner? thanks all.

There are clips between the sunroof panel itself and the headliner under the sunroof panel. The front of the headliner can be pulled down to unclip the liner. Then you can slide the roof panel back and pull the headliner forward and retreive the tube.
