i didnt want to pry in his business, just wondering what to expect to pay for a similiar car if it were available. i have been looking for an older collectible (maybe a c36), etc...and saw a 1983 300sd with 10,000 original miles that did not sell due to not reaching reserve on ebay that had what i consider to be high bid of 23,000. of course there is no way to tell what the reserve was.

A C 36 or C 43 would make a nice car for your purposes.
IF you can find one that has not had the living daylight driven out of it. ;)

If you have any under-hood pictures, I'd love to see a few. That is one beautiful car.
