koni backs their shocks for sure!

my 84 280e euro has konis on the back. i put them on there over ten years ago. one has lost its resistance for part of the stroke. so i contacted koni and asked about it. they said send it in. i then asked if maybe i really should do both of the shocks, and they said yes.

and they really didnt care that i didnt have the receipt. i said i probably could find it but it would be a lot of work and they just said "oh, that's OK".

you really don't find companies standing behind their products that way every day these days.

so tomorrow, off they go. i get to pay shipping one way.

they are the red ones.

What # did you call to get in touch with Koni.
I have a pair that I removed due to seals leaking, when I asked about rebuilding them, I was told I needed my receipt. I have no idea where the receipt is, it was quite a number of years ago..

That's pretty cool. Are they stiffer than Bilstein Heavy Duties? Can you adjust them? I always thought adjustable dampers was a good idea.

Most shock companies will do this - good for customer service, bad for their bottom line. I never understood it.
