i cant reach the bolts in the back of my M119 motor with my 3/8" hex socket, so i went to sears, harbor freight, etc but none carry a 1/4" 5mm hex? where do you guys buy the tools from?

If you have a 5mm hex and a 1/4" drive socket, you cut off a stub from the long end of the hex and insert it into the socket.
Someone should make a set of these stubs to use with sockets. They only have to be approx 1" long. I made a whole set from 1" cut-offs from the long ends of a metric hex set and use then all the time.. http://members.aol.com/ajdalton7/DCP_0007 These are ends just stuck in sockets..notice the 14 and 17mm ones everyone is always looking for. The small one is the 5mm you are looking for. Or,yeah.... just go to Snap-On .......... |

No cheap, but amazing quality. By the way, the pricing on the website is a hell of a lot higher than what I pay my friendly Snap-On rep. As an example, I bought a 10 inch, 3/8 quick release ratchet for $72.50, it is priced at $125 or so on the site. Still a lot more than you would pay at Sears, but once you use really nice tools you'll never go back to el-cheapo stuff that just doesn't feel right in your hand.
