'93 190 E 2.6, 75K miles, needs new evaporator.
Are the W201 evaporators currently offered by M-B improved over the factory installed unit or would an aftermarket evaporator be a better choice? |

Get an aftermarket with a copper core. I think Fast Lane sells them.

I definitely agree with JH, ...disposed the aluminum core. It doesn't last long compare to the copper core. I have mine replace with the aftermarket core (copper0 and have it retrofit in order to utilize R-134A freon which is readily available compared to R-12. The efficiency remains the same plus a long lasting effect. Aluminum core is easily getting corroded to the various effects of nature. Hope this helps you.
