door lock swap
 

is it hard to switch the front door locks/cylinder between the drivers and the passengers doors/

i have that issue where the alarm periodically goes off if you unlock from the drivers side..

lots of times, i just open the car at the trunk to avoid embarrassment.

lee which car are you swapping handles on?

it would be the 260e...didn't think there would be a difference between that and the 300e or 300ce

do you need to change handles or just the lock assemblies? if just locks you open door and on the door edge where the weatherstripping is you will find i think one allen bolt[could be two] with key in lock turned [dont remember which way] and bolt out withdraw lock assembly and disconnect alarm wiring.[unplug] call me if you need more than this.
