Intermittent starting problems W202 C240
 

Sometimes the car cranks and does not start. Most of the time it starts first time. There does not seem to be any pattern. It always starts first time when stone cold. First failed to start when parked up for six hours in the daytime. Today failed to start when hot, but fired immediately on second attempt. My guess is the reference sensor (crankshaft position sensor)... what do you guys think? Do you know the part number?:wacko:
