400E, jump start?
Are there terminals under the front hood to jump start 92 400E? Or, do you have to run jumper cables to the battery in the trunk?

If there are, they will be described in your owners manual.
Owners manuals are still available for your car (usually) from your dealer or 1-800-for-merc

If it's like my E320, there is a terminal under the hood in a black box mounted above the wheel well.

If it's like with the rest of the cars that I have owned, I can drive the car with the good battery really close to the car with the battery that needs the boost, regardless of the position of the battery in either car. I cannot see why having the battery in the trunk would be any different.
Besides, half the time even if both cars have their battery in the engine compartment, their locations are opposite, and the cable is 3 inches too short. Besides - I wouldn't jump start my 400E/E420 - I am too afraid something with a computer made strictly with rare earth metals, is going to get fried. I'd rather spend a little money on a new battery, than another $2100 on another module.
