I am about to replace the main wiring harness on a 1984 500SEC due to fire in the engine compartment. The way I see it is the dash, console, engine heat shields have to be removed also there are many wires in the fuse box that have to be removed and reconnected. Does anyone have a general time estimate for this repair.

I have seen this done 1 time on a 126 car. It took the tech at least 4 days to do it right. This is one hell of an undertaking.
