W126 Wood Trim- Repair or Replace

The 560's wood trim is in fair shape, except for the fact that at the ends it is peeling. (The veneer lifting upwards from the aluminum plate) The piece on the door is cracked in two, and is visablly in two pieces. Is there anyway to reglue these parts or should I start saving up to buy new wood from MB?

Thank, Dave.

Save for new IMHO.

I reglued some of my pieces with Gorilla glue. I used brown magic marker along the edges to hide the flaws and touched it up with some polyurethane. It looks OK but certainly not pristene. My car is too worn (cracked dash, etc.) to justify new wood.

Why not try to repair the existing pieces before buying new? You have nothing to lose, except some time.

Use clear silicone and clamp it overnight and it will be good as new! Afterward, you can strip it and refinish it for less than $20. Pretty easy DIY in my opinion.
